Internship Opportunities
Global Solutions Pittsburgh views educating and helping to provide practical work experiences to students as an integral part of our mission. We value the skills, ideas and energy that motivated, passionate interns bring to our mission of educating Western Pennsylvanians about global issues. To the greatest degree possible we will provide substantial work experiences and work with candidates to develop an internship that is mutually beneficial to the student and Global Solutions Pittsburgh.
Please keep in mind that while our internships are unpaid we do receive a significant number of applicants for a limited number of positions. Applicants are interviewed and hired on a rolling basis for opportunities in the fall, spring and summer. If you are interested in an internship please apply promptly and according to the instructions listed with the internship that you are interested in.
Education Program Intern
The Education Program Internship touches on a wide variety of first-hand experiences, as well as in-office work. This intern will be working on Model United Nations Conferences, as well as high school visits and program planning. Additionally, the Education Intern will help plan and develop material for teacher professional development programs, community lectures, and Global Solutions Pittsburgh events.

Program Intern
The Program Internship involves a wide variety of tasks and skills, requiring someone who is adaptive and dependable. The Program Intern will gain firsthand experience both developing new public programs and executing established programs as well. This includes such activities as event planning and fundraising, marketing and promotion, as well as outreach to local student, community and professional groups. Another aspect to this internship is the social media efforts of Global Solutions Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Human Rights Network. This includes the use of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc., along with blog writing.
