Global Issues Through Literature

Teachers are often searching for supplemental materials to their lessons, especially when it comes to global issues. At this workshop, Dr. Susan Andrade, a professor at both the Global Studies Center and English Department at the University of Pittsburgh, will show teachers how to use different types of literature while teaching global issues in the classroom. She will provide literary recommendations, as well as suggestions on how to use these materials in the classroom. Curricular materials will be provided for all teachers who attend. This workshop is being offered for three (3) ACT 48 continuing education credits, and is co-sponsored by the Global Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh.

This workshop has been postponed until Fall 2012. If you have any questions or concerns about this workshop, please feel free to contact Michele Cahill.
